Jesse Tree December 2

Today we put this symbol of evil on the Jesse Tree to remind us that the coming Savior will crush the head of Satan for us. The snake lied to Eve and twisted the Word of God. Things have not changed much in that respect even though centuries have elapsed. The devil, the world and our sinful flesh still twist the clear word of God and make it something it is not. Thanks be to God that He is faithful and that He keeps his promise. Our gracious heavenly Father promised that a Son would be born, that the Seed would come to rescue us. It is that Blessed Seed born on Christmas Day that we anticipate all through Advent.
