Jesse Tree December 23

On the 23rd of December, we add the star to the top of the Jesse Tree. We almost have a complete tree -- it's coming!

The star at the top of the tree causes us to look up, just like the star over Bethlehem caused the wise men to look up and travel towards the star.

Jesus is the bright Morning Star which lightens our dark world. "The people that walked in darkness (that's us folks) have seen a Great Light (that's Christ folks). How blessed we are that the Star has come to lighten our darkness.

Watchman, tell us of the night; Higher yet that star ascends. Trav'ler, blessedness and light, Peace and truth, its course portends.
Watchman, will its beams alone Gild the spot that gave them birth?
Trav'ler ages are its own; See it bursts o'er all the earth.
