Jesse Tree December 20

Mary is added to the Jesse Tree today and we realize that we are getting close to the actual coming of the King! We have all the prophecies in the Old Testament pointing to the Messiah; we have the forerunner in John the Baptist; we have the father-protector in Joseph and now we have the Virgin Mary.

The grace and pow'r of God the Lord Upon the mother was outpoured;
A virgin pure and undefiled In wondrous wise conceived a child.
The noble mother bore a Son - For so did Gabriel's promise run, -
Whom John confessed and leaped with joy Ere yet the mother knew her Boy.
